The Marriage Contract

Philippe Bastien is the heir to one of the wealthiest conglomerates owned by Émile Bastien in Paris. He is used to having the world at his feet and people at his beck and call. Unknown to him, the source of his family's wealth is deeply tied to a society and to a clause that guides its members. It’s stated that as the heir, Philippe would have to marry one of the daughters of his father's business partners and fellow society members, in order to renew their partnership and in turn, preserve their wealth. Ava Dubois, the only daughter of an equally wealthy French businessman, Martin Dubois has always hated the life she was born into. The dislike for excesses, party lifestyle, and intrusion from the paparazzi has made her become a low-key person. She avoids anything that would bring her back to the spotlight so imagine her surprise when she's summoned to fulfill the marriage contract.
